Cup brush tool classification and cleaning techniques

After using the cup for a long time, there will be a layer of tea stains. When cleaning, because the thermos cup is thin and long, it is difficult to put your hands in, and there is also a cup lid. You can see the stains, but you can’t reach them. Without suitable tools, you can only do it in a hurry.

It wasn’t until later that I discovered a cup brush, a magical tool for cleaning cups. The task of washing cups suddenly became easier, and it was also very clean. It is a good helper at home that is easy to use and not expensive.

In my years of life, I have also accumulated a lot of tips for cleaning cups, which I will record here.

1. Classification of cup brush tools
Brush head material
There are various types of cup brushes. According to the brush head material, there are mainly sponge brush heads, nylon, coconut palm, and silicone brush heads:

Sponge is soft and elastic, does not damage the cup, foams quickly, can wash the sides and bottom of the cup, and has good water absorption;
Nylon, coconut palm, silicone and other materials are generally made into bristles. The bristles are generally hard, non-absorbent, easy to clean, and have strong decontamination properties;
Brush head structure
According to the structure of the brush head, it is divided into bristles-less and bristles:

Bristles are generally cylindrical sponge brushes with handles, which are more suitable for brushing the entire inside of the cup and have strong ability to absorb water and dirt.

Brushes with bristles will have more structural forms. The simplest is the long brush, which is more convenient for in-depth cleaning:

Then there is the cup brush with a right-angled brush head and an L-shaped design, which is more convenient for cleaning the bottom area of the cup:

Then there is the multi-function crevice brush, which is convenient for cleaning various places such as cup lid gaps, lunch box seal gaps, rubber mats, ceramic tile gaps and other places that ordinary brushes cannot reach:
2. Cup cleaning skills
I believe everyone has their own cup. After using it for a long time, a layer of stains will easily accumulate on the inner wall of the cup. How to quickly and easily wash the cup to make it shiny, in addition to the tools you need, you also need a few tips. I will share them here. Below is my experience.

It is best to wash the cup after use, as stains will become more stubborn over time.

For stubborn stains, you can apply some toothpaste on the cup, then find an unused toothbrush and brush it along the cup wall several times. After brushing, rinse it with water. Because the undried water on the cup wall is easy to leave traces after it is drained, it is best to use a clean rag or paper towel to dry the water after washing, so that it can be as bright as new.

As for the inner bottom of the cup, your hands cannot reach in, and it is difficult to clean without special tools. If you like to do it with your hands, there is a method that is very easy to use: wrap the toothbrush head with tin foil, use a lighter to burn it at the position where it needs to be bent, and then Isn’t it smart to bend your toothbrush to the angle you want?

After using the cup brush, you need to dry it, especially the sponge one, to reduce the growth of mold and bacteria. If possible, it is best to disinfect it, such as putting it in a disinfection cabinet, or simply drying it in the sun.
