How often should I change baby bottles?

Common feeding bottles currently on the market include traditional plastic feeding bottles, stainless steel feeding bottles and transparent glass feeding bottles. Because the materials of the bottles are different, their shelf life will also be different. So how often is it better to replace the baby’s bottles?

Glass baby bottles can basically be used indefinitely, while stainless steel baby bottles have a shelf life, and those made of food-grade stainless steel generally have a shelf life of about five years. Relatively speaking, colorless and odorless plastic baby bottles have a short shelf life and generally need to be replaced in about 2 years.

In fact, no matter how much the baby’s bottle has not reached the safe shelf life, mothers must replace the bottle regularly. Because a bottle that has been used for a long time and has been washed many times is definitely not as clean as a new bottle. There are also some special circumstances where the original bottle must be replaced. For example, the original bottle inevitably develops some small cracks.

Especially for glass bottles used to feed babies, cracks can seriously scratch the baby’s mouth, so they must be replaced inevitably. If the bottle is continuously soaked with milk powder, there will be residue due to insufficient washing. After slowly accumulating, a layer of yellow dirt will form, which can easily lead to the growth of bacteria. Therefore, when dirt is found inside the baby bottle, it is also necessary to replace the baby bottle, a personal appliance used by children.

Generally speaking, baby bottles inevitably need to be replaced every 4-6 months, and the pacifiers of young babies are more likely to age. Because the pacifier is constantly bitten by the nursing baby, the pacifier ages quickly, so the baby’s pacifier is usually replaced once a month.
